Oh please god yes, I said it when AA was in the UFC and I still think it today but an on form bad ass Pitbull is probably is the best fight for Fedor in the world 2nd only to Big Nog. AA is a great fighter when he feels it and Fedor well (FiG - says it all 8) ) so if this fight does happen, oh shit I think it could be best HW fight EVER.
Fingers crossed again!

Actually a Fedor/Barnett fight holds more interest for me. But shy of that a nice little AA fight is nice. I dont think AA has the explosiveness and power or hunger anymore. Even in his last fight he looked like a good fighter against an okay fighter. Not a Great fighter against a good fighter.

Besides, we all know it is not going to happen. The word is that Affliction is bleeding like a virgin on prom night and probably wont make it out of its post verginity card! Even Trump is distanceing himself from the fight. He originally was insisting that it be held at one of his locatations in Vegas or Atlantic city, but now it is going to be held at the Honda Center in Cali, and he is not saying anything.

Guys, I dont want to come off as a nay sayer all the time....but the MMA world needs a strong group of second string groups, and so far they are all falling off the face of the planet....Scarry stuff man!

Kensei my old chum I agree 100%+, I miss pride more than anything in MMA. Pride were such a good company and there events were always good. Definatly on par with the UFC most of the time as far as fight cards and good fights goes.

the key to pride was that it stayed out of the USA and dominated in Japan...a huge market! Once you set foot on US soil you get your free target!

If you like Pride then you should watch Dream. It's basically the same minus Fedor.

I was not a HUGE fan of Pride...first the screaming chick hurt my ears...I am delicate you know

Pride suffered from protecting their fighters the same way the UFC sometimes does, then they tended to have funny/strange ref rulings that did not make sense and favored the fan favorite...not unlike the rest.

I think Pride was good because of the tallent they had in the company and the way they put on great shows for fans. They had issues like the rest, but they were as good as the UFC in alot of ways, better in some and worse in others.

Pride had so much fighting talent that you could always expect some great fights, which in all fairness we had. I absolutly loved the Grand Prix tournaments they had, they produced to me some of the fights of the years and thats cos you had great fighter against great fighter fighting for a prize which oftenb brought the best out of a fighter.
I never really took much notice on what went on behind the scenes I just wanted to see some kick ass fights, which I did so I am happy.

I have seen some of the Dream events, they have been decent for sure. They have some very good fighters and could be a great company. Not the overall strength in depth that pride had as lots their big guns now in the UFC but the small guys dominate Dream which means some great fights me thinks.

This is a very good fight. After AA trained with Fredie Roach :) I think AA will do some boxing quick footwork to avoid Fedor's takedowns. AA will be give Fedor probably a good fight.

Affliction has to pull something our of their "six demon bag" or else they are done for. One of they organizations willing to partner with them went under right afterward. And now they are doing a hybrid of boxing + mma events? Eh, I will just wait till I can see the MMA fights from those events on youtube.

AA is not hungry anymore. Even when he is "on" he is not the old "on"! I dont think he is ready for fedor and I think, unfortunatly, his time has passed.

I do not see AA beating Fedor but if he comes in to this fight wanting to win and on form I expect a good fight for sure. He will never be 'The Pitbull' pf a few years ago but he is a class act still with good striking so I think Fedor will have a tough fight and expect him to eat a few good punches before he subs AA in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Well if that happened it would not suprise me in the least either. Fedor could beat him a number of different ways. AA however could pull of a decision win though if Fedor comes in with his arms tied behind his back :P
