Yeah, id say as far as punching goes that Aleksander is incredibly quick and accurate..theres no fighter I like to watch throw punches like he does..and wanderlei is all about the knees and dirty kicks to the downed opponent..but thats all good in Pride so I dont know..i think if it stayed on the feet Id love aleksander to tattoo his face.

Sergei Kharitonov, Aleksander Emilienenko, Fedor, Andrei Arlovski. Those people have sambo as their primary martial art. They are all very very good. I'd say, yes sambo is good...

have they all served in the forces? as i think sambo is very highly regarded in Eastern Europe. I know the british military have no self defence or serious martial arts disiplines, apart from if you are very good you can compete in Judo, Boxing TKD or Karate but there isnt any formal training for novices, which i think is poor

yeah I agree. But the elite forces like SAS have some system of their own. TKD is veryr espected in the military. I don't know is Aleksander has served the forces, but you can train sambo without being in the army.

In the British Military there is only boxing and Judo gets any credit, even the special forces dont have a vast amount of training.

really? hm.. I thought the SAS had their hand to hand combats... oh well. I know that here in Sweden they teach Krav maga and some type of crap grappling that is all about getting the fuck up.

You should see ther South Korean special forces.. Every last one of them is like taken from a kung fu movie.
I saw it on a TV show called "mind, body and incredible moves" or something like that. It aired on discovery a year ago. Don't remember wich episode though.. But one word dc++..
