I think sliva was in his head. the second he hit the ground he didn't even try to fight back, he just covered up.
Of course when you are fighting someone who seems to really hurt everyone they fight maybe covering up is a good thing.

I totally agree. But I have to say Jame Irvin is no different than Tim sylva in that respect.

Even then the wrestler has it cut out for him. As FiG will gladly point out that A. Silva defeated Hendo. I still think Hendo would have beat A. Silva if he didn't get caught. Hopefully we will see a rematch.

hendo looked weird in that fight, like he was not in it! I am not sure, cant put my finger on it, but it looks like he gave up his back and the win. But he is the first guy to get nailed by him and not get a TKO loss or worse... a pro-bono nose job....Granted Hendo does not have much of a nose left.

it doesn't matter. Hendo is no match for Anderson.

Of course it matters. We want to actually see competition not slaughter every time. Hendo has the tools to beat A. Silva.

GOW I agree, and I was actually kind of shocked by the sub. I mean it was like he just gave up. He did not look right, might have been the punch to the head.....but still it was weird for a guy that has the tools and does not show up to use them.

whatever. THis was the most crushing defeat of Henderson I've ever seen. If he fights Anderson again he's gonna get knocked out in the first round.

HOLY SHIT, what next for 'The Spider', I don't see any MW being able to hang with him let alone beat him. At LHW who knows, I'm sure there are lots that could maybe do a number on him but he did look good against Irvin so who knows, he is a real tough fight for anyone at 205lbs too. They guy is deserving of best P 4 P best fighter, Easily deserving with everone else being some way off him for dominance right now.

Is his fight with Patrick Cote the most pointless fight he has had in the UFC to date...I don't mean to be rude to Cote as I actually really like the guys attitude and hunger to fight and win. He has the true hear of a fighter and winner but he isn't a match for Anderson and I think he could get KO very easy. I see this as them needing a guy to fight for the title and looked at an improved fighter with a reasonable streak of wins, I am aware that sounds harsh but I do think it's not far off.

The fight is pointless... he should fight Okami instead so A. Silva can redeem that lost.

I agree with that qwerty...Okami would make a far better opponent and actually deserves his shot after his recent fights. His win over Anderson in Rumble of the Rock was awesome, what a shit and may I say painful way to win...OUCH!

So...is anderson going to retire as he has announced or is he just creating drama. Honestly I think he might just. He would need a real good reason not to IMO and that would come in the form of an ass kicking resulting in him losing his belt or a fighter calling him out in a big and challenging him just before he retires. He needs some fights and hard ones too, maybe even a run at the LHW's top guys...something to challenge him.

YEah - I think he is retiring for good (which is until he runs out of money). The guy always looks scared as shit before every fight, and he is always really glad that he makes it to the end of the fight (he usually cries I think). Not that there is anything wrong with it, it actually is the way to naturally react to a fight. So, I'm sure the guy is concerned about some major injury which can haunt him way past his fighting days.
Thats my two cents on the "retiring issue."

ok guys, where are you getting the info that he is retiring the things that i saw said that was just a rumor and not true. Not sure but do you have anything to back that up. I hope he doesn't retire yet i enjoy watching him fight and he is at the top of his game why retire now? He still has a lot of good fighting years ahead of him and could still dominate the division for awhile. Not saying you are wrong just would like to see if it is legite or not. thanks
