Werdum wont beat NOG, no submission specialist has a shot in hell of messing with NOG on the ground except MIR, and i bet NOG subbs his ass. NOGs ground game is beyond most HW, took 8 seconds to set up Tims ass and after taking a beating, Werdums not bad, hes ackward, which is why AA never engaed to much with him, U guys say what u will about AA last two fights, he was just avoiding the ground, the few exchanges he did land hurt Werdum and he almost KOed cruiz layin on his back. OH ya he also won those fights, I agree with FIG on the SLyvia reach posing a problem for NOG, NOGs boxing days or over for him, i dont think he can see out of that eye anymore and he just seems slow, AA, Vera, i bet even Crocop would land a KO before he took anyone them down, i mean Slyvia not explosive and is slow, and seemed lighter on his feet than NOG, those explosive fast HW will have there way with him. But NOG never surprises me, he is a true Vetrean fighter, champ who will alwasy be a threat. Hall of Famer

Everyone always says Nog will get KO'd before he can get the TD and he ALWAYS gets the TD and ALWAYS wins unless he is fighting a guy named Fedor.

Id never bet against Nog vs. AA, Vera or Mirko.

Vera the brown belt BJJer would get tooled on the ground.

AA lacks heart.

Mirko lacks heart and mental composure especially at this moment.

I think Nog's only true threat is Fedor. His record demonstrates that.

so Werdum is still nowhere near Nog? I think Mir would get beat easily even by Arlovski.

People sleep on Werdum. Hes never been finished in his MMA career and possibly possesses the best MMA BJJ in the world. I think he would beat Randy, Tim, AA in a rematch and walk right through Mir any day of the week. I think training at Chute Boxe was the best thing for his career cuz he was always a guy who lacked aggression. Werdum is an absolute stud. 6'4 245lbs. I think he is the best HW in the UFC besides Big Nog and would beat AA in a rematch.

I don't think he's shown a whole lot of anything since his arrival in UFC. Him and AA alike showed horribly when they fought. He beat Gonzo after Gonzo gassed. Big deal. I'll climb on the hype wagon as soon as he displays something worth cheering about. He was a great fighter in PRIDE, but he hasn't excelled yet in UFC, He may.. Or he may crack like some of the others.

Forget the UFC for a second Ken, and take a look at Werdum's career objectively.

Never been finished and fought some of the toughest heavies in the world Sergei, AA, Aleks, Big Nog, Zentzov, Gonzaga 2x.

Not only did he fight these guys but I sae EVERY fight and yet have seen to see Werdum hurt in any of those fights.

I think hes one of the best HW's at avoiding damage. I think hes a top 5 HW.

Rewatch the AA fight, Arlovski hurt him, just didnt follow. Werdums a good fighter, i like em, he can give anyone a run for there money, but i dont c him beating the NOG, AA, Slyvia's, It dosent matter who it is, if NOG can get u down he will submitt u, but hes gotta get u down. Hes almost been KOed his last two fights, it will happen eventually, Hey if AA hurts Jake Obrien, i say Let him and NOG fight, If Randy donsent fight NOG, who else is there? Id say Arlovski due for another tittle shot, if he beat OBrien, that would be three wins in a row, and a hell of a fight with him a NOG.

Why the hell would beating a guy like Jake O'borring make you ready for a title fight. I mean first off the kid has 0 Finnish skills, he just takes you down and lays on you...if you watch the hearring fight he layed on herring to the point that Heath had a conversation with the ref about stading them up with out one punch getting in! DULL DULL DULL

This is a punishement fight for AA for not playing ball sooner! He needs to kill O'snoozer and then grab a fight with Gabe or a more believable fighter. Jake O'Brian is not a match that will get you to the top....unless it is on the Nyquil meter!

If you are going to be going after NOG then you should at least be going after fighters that are B level or better, O'Brian is C level right now and a dull one at that.

I wonder if Werdum should not look at dropping do LHW were he can use his muscle a bit more? He looked undersized against AA..who is not a huge fighter. AA's only able to hang at HW because of his striking and speed..when he uses it! Werdum needs to be able to muscle around the other fighter and I think a nice drop to LHW would help him out.

kensie its not that its Jake Obrien, its the fact its three in a row, plus Werdum was one of those three and he showed gabes true colors, figting Gabe is just the same as Obrien, Hes won Three in a row, Maybe Kongo before him, but he has to beat Herring, Its Arlovski's turn again, Not to mention Kongo would get embarresed by NOG, first rd submission for sure, Who deserves a tittle shot before Arlovski and why?Mirko's gone, herring has lost two of three, Gonzaga lost two of three, i think Werdum is 1and 1 since coming over so he needs another win, Tim just lost a tittle shot, is Kongo really deserving? Hes beat crocop and that it really, so who else is there?Coture is gone as well so i think its Arlovski's turn.

Werdum's a giant, no way hes makin LHW, as for Arlovski credentuals, he dosent need to prove anything for a tittle shot, hes an X champ who lost to one fighter the past few years, not to mention he beat that guy and fought him a hell of a lot better than NOG did, NOG got away with one, he dont submitt tim there he looses, He does have the belt, but he hardley looked dominate, i cant wait to see his next fight, i dont care who anyone is, u take that many shot to the dome, ur bound to go to sleep. Arlovski's due for a tittle shot if he beats OBrien, and id like to see NOG get AA down before AA touches him on the Chin and put him to sleep. He got away with it agaisnt Herring and Slyvia, hes due for the KO.
