Bob Sapp

Postby Gurre » Sun Jul 03, 2005 11:37 am

Bob "the beast" Sapp comes from the NFL and the wrestling scene. He is a huge man, and has fought in Pride, k-1, k-1 heros and Inoki-bom-ba-ye.
Some poeple feel like his skills are sub par, and that he wins his fights by being the stronger and larger one.

Bob won the latest k-1 Japan, and his trainer (Sam Greco) and he have really done a good job.

Sapp has fought fighters such as Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Mirko CroCop, Ernesto Hoost, Jerome LeBanner and many others.

He is 350 lbs (159kg) and 6'5 (1.96 meters).

His all time pro mma record is 6 - 2 - 1 (Win - Loss - Draw)

i have never understood why so many hate sapp.
i know his not very technical.but his strenght
have negated the skill of other fighters which is a skill of its own :D .
his physical prowess is his weapon.and he has evolved much lately
last thing i heard is that he throws high kicks now.
imagine a round house kick from a 160 kg guy

to quote pete "sugarfoot" wallace
"the the beauty is in the effectiveness of the technique"
WOW addict.

Yeah man, Greco has done a very good job. And Sapp didn't have a heart attack after the first round either!

Regular k-1, not heros. I don't think he want to go back to MMA after the asskicking he got from Fujita.

One of my favorite fighters! One of few, really huge guys that impresses me.. I remeber seeing Giant Silva.. and i just shook my head.. Sooo slow.. Sapp on the other hand is a true slugger, in the old fashioned way :P I would like to see him fight Aleksander Emelianenko. Both know for slugging. And Aleksander was beaten big guys before (James Thompson and Morais for example)

yeah that's true. But I still think Alex would take it. He's got more talent then Sapp.
