How does health care work in your country?

I live in Canada...Get sick...go to hospital....dont pay for anything! and I also work for Blue Cross.....Buy Meds...dont pay a cent!!!

get sick, go to doctor, get prescription, pay money as necessary

1. pay medicare/medicaid (auto deducted from paycheck)
2. pay insurance (auto deducted from paycheck), if you don't pay insurance you will get kicked off the hospital or get dumped into a hospital that will accept you. Go to the a hospital that doesn't accept your insurance, they will keep you longer in the Emergency Room and rake up the bill (which your insurance will not cover you).
3. Go to the hospital, sit in the waiting room for several hours (even when no one is around), pay co-pay.
4. get meds, pay co-pay or pay full becuase your insurance doesn't cover it.
5. If you are truly sick, and treatment is going to cost a lot of $$$$ fight the insurance company and hopefully they will take care of it.
