I have been reading alot of posts and there are alot of members here that seem to know alot about fighting and have really good opinions but I can't seem to find any posts where the members actully talk about themselves and sharing to the rest of us about their own skills and experience so I figured that i would just make a new thread where people can introduce themselves and talk about their own experience with Martial arts and fighting, I guess I will start by introducing myself.

I have been fighting for about 8 years, maybe a little more. I started training ITF Taekwon-do and trained it for about 7 years. I got a 1 dan black belt in it and have been competing abit but never in a professional way only for fun.

Than for about a year ago I started too look for something new, I haven't lost my love for Taekwon-do but I felt like I had to do something new and so I found a MMA gym and started to train MMA and have done that for about 8 months now.

Starting too train MMA is one of the best things I have done in a long time, I just love it. You get a whole new understanding of fighting and it is just alot of fun.

Now I have given all you guys a short introduction about myself so don't be shy, post and introduce yourselves!

I have been doing MMA for about 2 years and started my martial arts life doing Karate when i was 6 years old.

Overall i have studied Karate, BJJ, Muay Thai, Boxing and JKD Concepts and i'm loving MMA and training everything at once.

I recently stared properly concentrating on training my stand-up by training Muay Thai 3 times a week and after training for only 5 weeks at my current gym GFC Muay Thai i did my first strictly N/C Class Muay Thai interclub and i was giving away 5kg to the other guy even though it doesn't look it. I weighed in at 71kg and he weighed in at 76k.

Here's the video for you to see I'm in the black.

I know it was scrappy and i have been working on this a lot, points to whoever spots which round i change levels for a takedown in lol

That's me

lests see...much like FIG I dont like talking about myself 8) ...but if you inist....
I am probably one of the older guys here...if not the oldest...I can remember before Carter ran the white house!

I have a black belt level or better in Judo, Karate, Aikido and have also trained in Kendo, JKD, TKD,BJJ, wrestling, boxing, Kung fu, Sambo and kick boxed.

I used to do "open" Tournaments, which is what we called MMA in Canada way back when. and did pretty well. I took up kick boxing to get some real world striking in to complement my love of Karate.

I have been watching MMA since Gracie stepped into the first Cage in the US. and pretty much have watched every event since. I was just getting into PRIDE when it dropped dead and now just UFC as that is all I really get here in the middle of Canada.

I have blue eyes and shave my head...now that our intros are done I pick Bachlorette number two...dating game over!

Sorry, meant to post just never did :)

My name's Asa, that's it.. not short for anything and pronounced Ace-ah. I've been into martial arts all my life, roundhoused the midwife for dragging me out of bed. Haha in all seriousness though I played street fighter, watched kung fu films with my older brother and fell in love with martial arts.

I started training in Kickboxing when I was 5-10 years old and learned basic techniques. Trained in Kickboxing followed by Karate and Judo. Then I stopped with classes, made friends, discovered girls etc etc. Got back into Martial Arts around 18 years old with a Muay Thai class and love Muay Thai and everything about it. Trained a little bit of BJJ and boxing and I want to get into wrestling sometime in the near future.
