I know this is MMA forum but I just had to mention British Boxing Superstar Amir Khan, this guy will be the next Major Lightweight sensation. Fast, explosive, heavy hands who throws great combo's This guy will set the world on fire. Still only 21 too, keep an eye for him guys. Completly different lightweight to my Fav boxer Hatton but Genuine world champion this year or next!!!

Yes, but the transition from amateur boxing to making it in pro boxing is massive, Audley 'Fraudley' Harrison is a prime example of that.
Khan has showed he has the potential since turning pro but he has no arrived on the big stage, that what i should have said first. Appologies!!!

I've seen a few. Not the latest one, but the one before that. He looked great. The kid has great pace and heavy hands. I think he'll do good if he keeps on working

i think he has great hands and everything just sometimes when hes throwing a combo or w/e i feel like he drops his hands a little too much and exposes his chin, other then that i think he looks dynamite

I read that after Amir Khan won his lat fight he wanted to fight the winner of the Diaz and Pacquio fight.
I don't know if anyone saw that fight from the weekend but holy shit Pacquio looked fantastic and he is prob the best pound for pound best boxer in the world. He looked amazing, won every round and looks unstoppable. Finsishe Diaz in the 9th to put him out of his misery.
Frank Warren, Khans promoter came out and said that Khan isn't ready for a step up to that level. Which is 100% true and you would expect any good handler to do to protect his up and coming fighter, this was before the fight this weekend.
What amazed me was that Khan was so impressed with Pacquio's fight that even he said that he isn't ready for him and praised how good he is. Even Unbeaten 2 weight unbeaten world champion, ego maniac and fellow Welshman Joe Calzaghe has said he is the best boxer in the world...which if you have ever heard a Calzaghe interview is amazing.
Forget the retired Mayweather, Pacquio is now the boxing master!!!

I saw the Manny Pacquiao fight! I'm actually a huge Pacquiao fan. I've been following him since he defeated Jorge Julio (Manny was the undercard for the Tyson vs Lennox Lewis fight)- summer of 2002. His aggressiveness, quickness and at the time just a wild, careless and "blitzkrieg" style of fighting made me an instant fan. My favorite combo of his is that hook followed by an uppercut - with the same hand and just as effective as with the right hand or left. It is so freaking fast!
I was about to mention if Khan would want to fight Pacquiao but I guess this answers my question. It would be a big purse after the end of the day though. Not sure how much Khan would be marketable after a defeat like that though .
I would like to see a Hatton vs Pacquiao fight next if not a Juan Manuel Marquez III. Hatton is definately bigger and stronger fighter that likes to fight inside. Pacquiao on the other hand might just be too quick and accurate for Hatton.
Oh on a site note, (undercard fight) SOTO got robbed!!!!

Do you know I love to watch Pacquiao, he is so good to watch but Ricky Hatton is my Favourite boxer and the thought of them fighting really really does it for me.
Khan quite simply isn't ready and would be eaten alive by Manny. Losing badly at this stage in Khans career would be devasting for him. Remember when Prince Naseem Hamed got destroyed By marco Antonio Barrera it would be worse than that and Naseem never fought again so being a khan fan fight I don't want that fight yet.
Hatton Vs Pacquiao is the fight for me, both men are headliners and this would get the world attention for sure, both different type of boxers and both awesome at what they do. Can't think of many fights in any division in the world that would interst me more.
Everything about that says awesome amazing fight to me.

I hope it will be Hatton vs. Pacquiao next! Damn, I can only imagine the English fans and the Filipino's all in one arena. The crowd would be WILD - you probably will not even hear the bell ring!

Honestly it would be hard to say. I guess it would depend on what kind of ref will be at the fight - whether the ref will allow Hatton to fight inside or break them apart. But that is just one aspect.
Basically, as far as weight and height they are practically identical. I don't think Pacquiao will have a hard time figthing at 140 and I believe Pacquiao has a slight reach and height advantage.
This is how it will go down: Hatton will try to fight inside, work on the body punches in the early rounds to slow down Pacquiao.
Pacquiao was utilize is speed and control Hatton with a barrage of jabs and move to the side. He will start to throw combinations that ends in left hooks. Let's face it Hatton always has problems against southpaws.
The southpaw stands, quickness and k/o power that Pacquiao possesses might be too much for Hatton. I however believe Hatton can handle Pacquiao punches. Hatton has a lot of heart!
It will be hard to say but Vegas would probably give the advantage to Pacquiao becuase of what I just mentioned.

Very good analysis there...and don't com[pletly disagree as the fight IF ever happens could easily go that way.
I feel Hatton has been to Vegas and had some real good wins there often against bigger opponents, The quickness of Manny is what will decide things in his favor or not.
I just think Hatton as long as he gets a good ref could control Manny landing those close shot and would probably be able to boss him around the ring a little more.
Both MASTERS at their own strategies and whoever gets their game off will win as the other man can not beat them at their own game.
I would lean towards Hatton but both men could easily win and both men are also big time performers which helps wtare the mouth.

Id like also to see a Pacquiao vs Mayweather match.
However, I heard that Mayweather retired. Is that true?
