It's true.My friend pedro takes kung fu and he always saids kung fu is best.He is so stupid i want to kill him.His kung fu teacher brain washed him and he will always think kung fu is best.He doesn't even watch mma or k-1.He said no one in mma does kung fu because one time a kung fu guy killed another guy with 1 hit!wtf ? what a retard

there are actually some in minor shows (amateur mma)
or people who have kung fu background
of course they have mixed in some bjj and probly the thai round house kick.

i think its just a matter of time before
more arts like kyokushin kai and sansoo
and the various off spring will be more
visible in mma .

hell chuck liddel is a kempo guy.
vernon white had a tkd back ground(+ he trained at lions den)
cung lee was\is in the K-1 is a kung fu guy
or at least competes in kung fu (san soo)
bas rutten got his liver shot from kyukushin kai
andy hug was from kyokushin kai (seidokaiken)
i am not saying that youre friend pedro isnt delusional. but there are good kung fu and bad kung fu. same as with karate.some schools are more fight oriented some focus more on the
personal development .like giving children self esteem and stuff.

well i am sure there are a vid out there.(kyokushin vs kung fu)
if your friend is training with a fraudulent teacher.
why dont you bring him to your club (i assume you train muay thai)
and spar him.
sometimes what kung fu students need is some sparring
and bag work and they will turn out as quite good fighters.
it is not so much the styles but lack of or different focus
on sparring .i have a trad ma background (kung fu and karate)
but i sparred everyone i could boxers,kickboxers,muay thai,jiu jitsu
tkd etc etc .

to me its very simple....

its not the art winning a fight, its the person using it...

you could sneak up on him from behind, shout "HEY! PEDRO!" and high kick him. Then he'll see that the ancient kung fu style "eat-a-round-house-to-the-head" is not good against Muay Thai. :D
