Recent Posts Section at the Top

Someone may have covered this already, but just wanted to know if anyone else is having the same problem I am. The section in the upper right corner, for Recent Posts is blank. All I seen in the mma mantauge superimposed by a maroon color. The words are missing. I can still see them when I click recent post page, however.
