Matt Skelton stopped last-minute stand-in opponent Mark Krence to retain his British heavyweight title after seven rounds of their fight in Bolton.
Chesterfield butcher Krence was only called in on the morning of the fight to replace flu victim Danny Williams and put in a brave performance-
bad line up in the first place and bad fight of yet another 2 british heavyweights who need walk forward punch, walk forward, punch. No head movement, no technique, boring.
Amir Khan made a stunning debut to his professional career by stopping opponent David Bailey after just 109 seconds of their fight in Bolton.
Khan floored his opponent almost as soon as the bell went and knocked him down again very quickly.
The towel appeared to come in from Bailey's corner but the referee seemed not to notice and the fight continued.
Bailey threw a couple of punches but was caught by another fierce delivery from Khan and the referee stepped in.
My view- Amir Khan is now very well protected and i forecast he wil not lose his next 10 fights, (the tv stations depend on it), so his contract is made good, people and fighters will be paid off. Sadly just a plot to get Boxing back what is used to be.
