The ankle weight ideas are fine, BUT one has to remember that their is a tone of evidence that kicking and jogging with them on is BAD for the knees. If you have bad knees DONT run with ankle weights on or kick with them on. I am all for body weight and weighted exercise and a weighted vest, ankle wieghts and weighted gloves really add to the work out, but you have to be smart about it.

I like good old fasion circuit training and speed play. work out a few stations and then try and go hard when you are going threw them. Use a timer so it is just like rounds. Do one weight station followed by a cardio station and then back to weights ext and so on. If you have a buddy do this. in a MMA gym do something like this : Body weight or weighted squats for 2-3 minutes, tread mill run for 2-3 minutes, clean and press for 2-3 minutes, roll for 2-3 minutes, plyo exercise for 2-3 minutes, bag work for 2-3 minutes. or some thing like that and go threw the stations as many times as you can.

Yea we do that sometimes where i train, We have a jump rope station, sit up station, then work the bag, then we have 2 big ass tires and with one of them you pick it up and the other you do push ups on, and we do laps, after going through that a few times it kills you.... Great Workout

what i did was i did high reps to get toned then i did higher weights at lower reps to get huge and still toned right now im 6'2 205 with really no body fat (8 pack) :) so i think that getting toned first can help you alot cuz if you just try for huge body mass then you will still have alot of fat and honestly you wont look jacked either

yeah ankle weights work good but stay away from running with those on because they fuck up your knees if you run too much with them on

do the marine core workout, it's on the royal marines website and it's for people to get fit before they bother applying, that is tough.

my opinion, diet counts the most.

1-1.5g per pound LEAN BODY MASS. so figure your bodyfat, then subtract it from your total weight (if you were 30%, you would be 245lbs LBM. so you would take in ideally 245-367.5g a day.)

.5g fats/ lb LBM (fats are good for ya. the right ones anyway.)

read alot about nutrition, nutrition timing, metabolic effects of foods, and train with movements relative to your goal. give it your all, read some good routines, eliteFTS is good, as well as Wannabebig.com

it will be a long road, get ready for it. but im sure you will be a powerhouse when you are done bro.
