I know this has more than likely been asked/brought up NUMEROUS times but here's another. I'm just curious what you guys do about your daily diet. It's tough trying to eat 5-6 times a day working from 8-5, BUT it can be done. I'm doing BETTER but that's not always the BEST. Just wondering how you guys handle that and what EXACTLY do you have each day (amount, type, etc.)? Thanks in advance.

I can tell you that when I used to get ready for tournaments I did the 5-6 small meals a day and did well with it. But now that I dont compete and live in the real world of 9-5 work and such, I had to go back to a 3 meals a day, and stick to clean eating. The problem lays in the preparation for me. How do you get 5-6 meals in a day when you are running from work to the gym to school to teach to....well you get the point.

Anyone that can stick to this kind of Diet long term is a master planner, and someone I would say is a better planner than me!

yea most definatley so. thats the hard part. 8-5 makes it VERY hard to adjust to that type of meal plan. im going to give it my best shot but if not then i will still do as you said, just eating cleaner. tough stuff.

you guys are good. It is hard to eat right with a family and especially when my daughter should be eating between 2500 and 3000 calories a day. Her disability means she burns way more calories than an adult....it is almost as hard for me to cut calories to burn fat as it is for us to get more calories into her. Weird!

If you manage to eat five or more meals a day, plan out interesting meals that are not repetitive to the point you get board, you are a way better person than myself and I will admit that one. When I used to really diet hard and work to get in six or so meals a day I ate the same thing for each meal each day....
Breakfast 2 eggs scrambled with some veggies..no cheese,
Meal#2 1/2 Chicken breast with some low fat cheese or veggies
Meal#3 small salad...just veggies and some home made dressing
Meal#4 2 pc of fruit and a low fat yogert...small dab of yogert only
Meal#5 Pre work out meal of light salad with tuna, same home made dressing
Meal#6 1/2 chicken breast with some low fat cheese or veggies

EVERY DAY and EVERY MEAL was pretty much the same. I would swap Salmon for Tuna once and a while for shits and giggles and once a week the Chicken would change for Steak!

After a while I would be day dreaming of Pizza or Spaghetti! But the friggin diet works, oh and I only ate very small portions. The Dolip of yogurt was like two table spoons of Yogurt. That was my "I'm lean enough" Diet that was just to burn a bit more fat before the tournament. If I was trying to drop weight Meals 2,4 and 6 were swapped out for a meal shake...no fancy ones back then...basically chalk that they said was a flavour like Chocholate or Vanilla....but did not taste like it. Shakes have come a LONG way since the 80's and 70's!!!

Staying away from saturated fats is important. My daily diet is as of late is really slipping because I don't have any upcoming fights or competitions so I don't have to make any weight. I think the key is clean eating and 5-6 meals if possible, which everyone has already stated. Drinking a lot of water too.
